This guide is built around one simple idea: the best size chart in the world is a shirt the person already loves. We will show you how to measure it, how to compare it with our products, and how to choose when you are stuck between two sizes. Specific garment measurements vary between blank styles, so the measurements for each product are listed on its product page, and this guide explains how to use them.</p>\n<h2>The size labels we use</h2>\n<p>These are the size names you will see when you choose options on a product page. Not every design is printed in every size or every product type, so always check the product page.</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Size labels by product type</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Product type</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Size labels</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Fit notes</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Unisex T-Shirt</td>\n<td>S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL</td>\n<td>Straight, relaxed body; slightly roomy on most women</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Crewneck Sweatshirt</td>\n<td>S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL</td>\n<td>Relaxed body, ribbed cuffs and hem; less stretch than a tee</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Pullover Hoodie</td>\n<td>S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL</td>\n<td>Relaxed body with a front pouch; layer-friendly</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Youth T-Shirt</td>\n<td>Youth XS, Youth S, Youth M, Youth L, Youth XL</td>\n<td>Children&#8217;s cut; sizes are not the same as adult XS to XL</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Mugs</td>\n<td>11oz and 15oz styles</td>\n<td>No clothing size needed</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<h2>How to measure a garment that fits</h2>\n<p>You need a tape measure (a ruler and a piece of string work too), a flat table and a shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie that fits the person the way they like. Use the same type of garment you plan to buy: measure a tee to buy a tee, a sweatshirt to buy a sweatshirt.</p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Lay it flat.</strong> Button or zip anything that closes, smooth out wrinkles and line up the side seams.</li>\n<li><strong>Chest width:</strong> measure straight across from one side seam to the other, about 1 inch (2–3 cm) below the armpits.</li>\n<li><strong>Body length:</strong> measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, straight down to the bottom hem.</li>\n<li><strong>Sleeve length</strong> (for sweatshirts and hoodies): from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.</li>\n<li><strong>Write it down</strong> and compare it with the measurements listed on the product page. Pick the size whose chest width is closest to your garment, then check the length.</li>\n</ol>\n<h3>Why we measure garments, not bodies</h3>\n<p>Body measurements tell you someone&#8217;s size, but not how they like to wear their clothes. Two people with the same chest measurement might choose different sizes because one likes a snug fit and the other wears everything loose. A favourite shirt captures both the body and the preference, so it leads to fewer exchanges.</p>\n<h2>Choosing between two sizes</h2>\n<h3>T-shirts</h3>\n<p>If the person likes a neat, close fit, choose the smaller of the two. If they like a relaxed fit or plan to wear the tee over a long-sleeve layer, choose the larger. Many women who usually wear a fitted women&#8217;s M find a unisex S or M works, depending on how roomy they like it.</p>\n<h3>Sweatshirts and hoodies</h3>\n<p>Heavier fabrics stretch less than a tee, and these garments are often worn over other layers. When in doubt, go up a size. A slightly roomy sweatshirt is comfortable; a tight one rarely gets worn.</p>\n<h3>Kids</h3>\n<p>Children grow quickly, and a size that fits in spring may not fit by the autumn reunion. If a child is between two youth sizes, the larger is usually the better choice. Youth sizes are a different scale from adult sizes, so a Youth XL is not the same as an adult S; compare garment measurements on the product page.</p>\n<h2>Shopping for someone else</h2>\n<p>When you cannot borrow a garment, these approaches help:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ask another family member</strong> to check the size label on a tee the person wears often.</li>\n<li><strong>Look at photos</strong> of how they wear their clothes: fitted or loose.</li>\n<li><strong>Go relaxed</strong> with a sweatshirt or hoodie, which is more forgiving than a tee.</li>\n<li><strong>Choose a mug</strong> when the size is a complete mystery.</li>\n<li><strong>Remember the exchange window:</strong> 60 days from delivery, so the recipient has time to swap.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Sizing for family matching orders</h2>\n<p>Group orders bring their own sizing challenges: twenty people, twenty opinions, and usually one organiser doing all the work. Here is a method that keeps reunion orders on track.</p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Share this guide.</strong> Send the link to everyone with a short note: &#8220;Please measure a tee that fits you and reply with your size by Friday.&#8221;</li>\n<li><strong>Ask for sizes in writing.</strong> A size remembered from years ago is the most common cause of exchanges. A measured answer in the group chat is much more reliable.</li>\n<li><strong>Use one product type per person.</strong> If some people want tees and others sweatshirts, note the product next to each size, because the fit differs.</li>\n<li><strong>Separate youth and adult sizes clearly.</strong> Write &#8220;Youth M&#8221; rather than just &#8220;M&#8221; for children, so nobody receives an adult M by mistake.</li>\n<li><strong>Double-check within 24 hours.</strong> After ordering, forward the confirmation to the group. Any size mistakes can be fixed for free inside the 24-hour change window, before printing.</li>\n</ol>\n<h3>A sample size list</h3>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Example of a reunion size list, ready to order from</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Name</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Product</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Size</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Colour</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Grandpa</td>\n<td>Unisex T-Shirt</td>\n<td>XL</td>\n<td>Navy</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Grandma</td>\n<td>Crewneck Sweatshirt</td>\n<td>L</td>\n<td>Navy</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Uncle</td>\n<td>Unisex T-Shirt</td>\n<td>3XL</td>\n<td>Navy</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Cousin, age 9</td>\n<td>Youth T-Shirt</td>\n<td>Youth M</td>\n<td>Navy</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Cousin, age 4</td>\n<td>Youth T-Shirt</td>\n<td>Youth XS</td>\n<td>Navy</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>The example shows the format, not a recommendation: every family member should measure for themselves.</p>\n<h2>How washing affects fit</h2>\n<p>Cotton and cotton-blend garments can relax or tighten slightly with washing and drying, particularly with high dryer heat. To keep the fit you chose, and to look after the print, follow these steps:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn the garment inside out before washing.</li>\n<li>Wash on a cold, gentle cycle with similar colours.</li>\n<li>Do not use bleach or fabric softener directly on the print.</li>\n<li>Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry. High heat is the main cause of shrinkage.</li>\n<li>Do not iron directly on the print; iron inside out if needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The care notes on each product page take priority, because they are specific to that blank.</p>\n<h2>Common sizing questions</h2>\n<h3>&#8220;I usually wear a women&#8217;s medium. What should I order?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>Unisex tees are cut straighter and a little roomier than women&#8217;s fitted tees. Many women who wear a women&#8217;s M choose a unisex S for a closer fit or a unisex M for a relaxed one. The surest answer is to measure a tee you like and compare it with the product page.</p>\n<h3>&#8220;My husband is between L and XL.&#8221;</h3>\n<p>For a tee, think about how he wears it: tucked or over a layer suggests the larger size; a neat, close fit suggests the smaller. For a sweatshirt or hoodie, choose XL.</p>\n<h3>&#8220;Will a 2XL be long enough for my tall son?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>Length increases with each size, but proportions differ between blanks. Measure the body length of a shirt that is long enough for him and compare it with the length on the product page; choose the size that matches length first if he is tall and slim.</p>\n<h3>&#8220;My granddaughter is 7. Which youth size?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>Children of the same age vary a lot. Measure one of her favourite tees and compare it with the youth measurements on the product page. If she sits between two sizes, choose the larger so she can wear it longer.</p>\n<h2>Fit for different body shapes and preferences</h2>\n<p>Size labels are a starting point, not a verdict. A few patterns we hear about often:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Broad shoulders or a larger chest:</strong> choose by chest width first; a tee that fits the chest will usually be fine in length.</li>\n<li><strong>A softer middle:</strong> many people prefer a size up in tees for a relaxed drape that does not cling.</li>\n<li><strong>Tall and slim:</strong> check body length first, then make sure the chest is not too wide for comfort.</li>\n<li><strong>Pregnancy:</strong> a unisex tee one or two sizes up often works well for a pregnancy announcement photo and can be worn for months.</li>\n<li><strong>Older relatives who prefer comfort:</strong> sweatshirts in a relaxed size are easy to put on and take off and are warm without being heavy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We do not publish numeric body-size recommendations here because the right answer depends on each blank&#8217;s measurements, which are on the product page, and on personal preference. When in doubt, ask us.</p>\n<h2>Reading the measurements on a product page</h2>\n<p>Each product page lists the measurements for that specific blank. Here is how to read them correctly:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chest or width</strong> figures are usually given flat, measured across the front of the garment. Do not double it unless the page says the figure is a full circumference.</li>\n<li><strong>Length</strong> is measured from the high point of the shoulder to the hem, the same way you measured your own garment.</li>\n<li><strong>Allow a small tolerance.</strong> Garments are cut and sewn in large batches, so a difference of around half an inch between two pieces of the same size is normal.</li>\n<li><strong>Compare like with like.</strong> A tee&#8217;s measurements say nothing about how our sweatshirts fit. Check the product you are actually buying.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>If the size is still wrong</h2>\n<p>It happens, especially with gifts. You can exchange any item within 60 days of delivery.
